You can now mute Annoying Accounts on Instagram

In the world, we spend our most of the free time on social media to gather news and latest trends in popular categories. However, there are times when few posts annoy us by duplicate or useless contents.

Thanks to Instagram for rolling out a new feature to mute posts and stories which you may don’t find useful. So, instead of unfollowing the account you can mute the future posts or stories for a while to check out your favorite contents on your Instagram Feed.

In the latest Instagram App, you can now easily mute posts from that particular account. You can access this feature by heading to Options (…) on the top-right corner of the specific feed. You will have options to Mute Posts or Posts and Story both from the Account. (refer to the given screenshots)

You can also mute the stories directly from your Story Tray or by heading to the Account and clicking on Options (…) to mute posts, stories or both.

This feature is currently available on selected accounts but will be rolling out to all the Instagram users in coming days.
