Virtual court enables online adjudication of cases. On pilot basis, the system is being used for traffic and transport challans. The system automatically consumes challans from the eChallan system and allows user to pay fine online for the traffic offences. The case proceedings are completed online and the case is disposed immediately after online payment of the fine. The system is aimed at minimizing the physical presence of litigants and judges in courts, reducing pendency and improving cost efficiency.
