Design and Display
Mi 8 is the first of Xiaomi’s smartphone range which is coming up with the notch. Further More, it has bit relatable features with the latest launch OnePlus 6. Mi 8 will be featuring the 6.21- inches OLED screen from Samsung. The user will witness FHD screen edge-to-edge. On either side, Mi 8 SE will feature 5.8 inches AMOLED screen with the edge-to-edge display. It uses 81.3 screens to body ratio which is more than sufficient for the good display. It has the four-way curved glass back within an aluminum frame.
Coming to the camera part that both the smartphones have a massive 20-megapixel selfie camera and 12 Megapixel dual rear cameras. The dual camera setup includes a f/1.9 lens with gyro-EIS with a 5-megapixel f/2.0 lens which carries dual pixel phase detection.
Mi 8 comes with high-end Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 845where as Mi 8 SE comes with the mid-tier chipset, that is Snapdragon 710. Xiaomi mentioned that this time their focus is on delivering ultimate processor results in mid-range. The company has also mentioned that it is the first time Xiaomi’s phone is using dual-frequency GPS, which means user now can access to more accurate locations. Talking about the RAM, the devices will come with 6GB/ 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/ 128GB/ 256GB of inbuilt storage.
Mi 8 comprises 3400 mAh battery whereas Mi 8 SE will come up with 3120 mAh battery. Xiaomi has offered quite decent battery life which is sufficient to run approximately a day around. In Addition, it will use the support of 3.0 quick charging cable.
Mi 8 will approximately cost around 2,699 yuan in China which is approximately $421. On the other hand, Mi 8 SE will cost around 1,799 yuan in the nation, approximately $281.
