Viber is a cross-stage texting and voice over IP (VoIP) application worked by Japanese multinational organization Rakuten, gave as freeware to the Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS platforms. It requires a phone number to work. Notwithstanding texting, it enables clients to trade media, for example, images and video records. As of December 2016, Viber had 800 million enrolled clients.

On Viber, your telephone number is your ID. The application syncs with your handy contact list, consequently identifying which of your contacts have Viber.
