Gone Home is a first-person adventure exploration video game developed and published by The Fullbright Company.
Set in the year 1995, the plot centers on the exploration of a house in rural Oregon and analyzing everyday household objects within the home to unbar journal entries and find the recent incidents that took place there.
The player adopts the role of Katie in the first-person view, who can move throughout the house and view and compare with objects. There are no set goals in the game; however, the game supports and rewards the player when they traverse new areas of the house and search for further information.
Much of the interactivity holds upon looking at objects and notes within the house. To progress in the game, the actor must find several objects that unlock the passage to other parts of the house.
